Introduction:

Welcome to our comprehensive program, CHC43121 - Certificate IV in Disability Support. This course is designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills required to support and empower individuals with disabilities.

Course Overview

This course certificate reflects the role of workers in various community/ residential settings who provide essential support and training to empower individuals with disabilities to achieve higher goals of independence, self-reliance, well-being, and community participation. With a person-centred approach, the workers work without direct supervision and may have to supervise or coordinate a small team.

2.Develop effective communication and interpersonal skills to establish trusting relationships and empower individuals with disabilities.

Regulatory Requirement:

For the disability care course, students must obtain Australian National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check (WWCC) and NDIS worker’s clearance check at their own cost.

Work-based Training:

All course students undertake 160 hours of training in a work-based placement linked to some units of competency in the qualification. You have to undertake the course's practical components in the community services industry. Also, you have to work alongside qualified professionals and/or skilled workers.
